I was thinking… it's good that we are in the habit of declaring
what we put in our bodies. I know that for me, I take pride in saying
"water to drink" all the time (well, almost all the time). And
though I am not sure it's translated into a behavior change yet, I at least
associate negative feelings with eating a bowl of ice cream at 10pm. In
the past, all I would feel is "that was good, I want more!"
I wonder if we
should evolve the blogging practice, though, from one of simply recording what
we eat, to one of recording what we eat AND some kind of score. We should judge the nutrition, proportion,
and emotion of the food.
So, for example,
instead of just saying:
"For breakfast, I ate 2 eggo waffles with syrup and a glass
of chocolate milk."
I might say:
"For breakfast, I ate 2 Eggo(tm) waffles with syrup and a glass
of chocolate milk. It was a little unhealthy, I didn't overeat, and I liked it."
With each entry, we would simply say whether it was healthy, if we ate too much, and if we liked it.
Thoughts?
